The MNAC (Museo Nacional d'Art de Catalunya) is running a very interesting
exposition entitled "La fascinación de Oriente. Tesoros asiáticos de las colecciones reales españolas".
Under Phillip II, Spain and Portugal united in one and the Iberian peninsula gained
unprecendented and privileged access to Japan, China and the Phillipines using the two
routes: from Manila to Seville and from Lisbon to the East Indies...
